Regional Law Firm Announces New Partners

Springfield, MA - The Springfield-based regional law firm of Bacon Wilson, P.C. is pleased to announce that five new partners have been named to their firm; Julie A. Dialessi-Lafley, Gina M. Barry, Gary F. Bevilacqua, Bruce M. Fogel and Peter W. MacConnell.

Attorney Dialessi-Lafley is a multi-faceted business lawyer with extensive experience in all aspects of corporate and business law, as well as commercial and residential real estate. Her additional specialties include probate, estate and elder planning as well as family law. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Healthcare Ledger, a member of the Board of Directors of the Top Floor Learning Center; an Incorporator for the Ludlow Boys and Girls Club, a member of the Friends of the Lighthouse and Chair of the Human Rights Committee for Goodwill of Springfield/Hartford. She was recognized as a Massachusetts SuperLawyers' Rising Star in 2007, 2006, and 2005, as well as a BusinessWest Top 10 Lawyer under 40. She is an adjunct professor in litigation principles at The College of Our Lady of the Elms and in the Masters Program in Business Law at American International College. She is a certified collaborative law attorney and a certified mediator. Additionally, she has authored various business and real estate law articles. Dialessi-Lafley earned her J.D. from Western New England College School of Law and her B.S.B.A. from Bryant College. She resides in Wilbraham.

Attorney Barry, is a member of the Estate Planning/Elder Law Department, whose practice includes sophisticated elder law and estate planning issues, including pet estate planning. Additional areas of expertise include guardianship, conservatorship, planning for long-term care and residential real estate. She was awarded the SuperLawyers Rising Stars distinction in 2007 and 2006, and was the recipient of the 2005 "Woman of the Year" distinction from the Women Business Owners Alliance as well as the "Up and Coming Lawyer 2004" distinction by MA Lawyers Weekly. She also authors many estate planning and elder law articles. Barry earned her J.D, cum laude, from Western New England College School of Law, her B.A., magna cum laude, from Westfield State College, and her A.A. with High Honors from Holyoke Community College. She lives in Holyoke.

Attorney Bevilacqua's primary area of practice is real estate, both residential and commercial. He also does estate planning as well as banking and finance work and personal injury representation. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Work Opportunity Center, Inc and a former Assistant City Solicitor of the city of Westfield. He was honored as a Massachusetts SuperLawyer in 2006. Bevilacqua earned his J.D. from Western New England College School of Law and his B.S. from the University of Connecticut. Bevilacqua lives in Westfield.

Attorney Fogel is a member of the firm's estate planning and elder, real estate and zoning and business and corporate departments. He has extensive experience in matters relating to income, gift and estate taxes, and he focuses on the tax implications of all legal transactions. He is currently serving on the board of directors of the United Way of Hampshire County and a member of its finance committee, as well as a member of the Citizens Actions Committee, (Northampton State Hospital Reuse.) He was selected as a Massachusetts SuperLawyer in 2006 and is a member of the Professional Advisors Committee for Baystate Health Foundation. He is co-host of the radio show "Taxes and Assets" on WHMP-AM. Fogel earned his LL.M. in Tax from Boston University School of Law, his J.D .from Western New England College School of Law, and his B.A. from Columbia College. He lives in Northampton.

Attorney MacConnell is a member of the real estate department handling both residential and commercial transactions. He also spends a considerable amount of time on zoning and land use issues, almost exclusively on the developer side. In addition, he also does estate planning and corporate legal work. MacConnell earned his J.D. from Suffolk University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Vermont. He lives in Amherst.
