January 17, 2005
SPRINGFIELD, MA – The Springfield based law firm of Bacon & Wilson, P.C. wishes to announce that Paul H. Rothschild recently received a $6.5 million judgment from the Hampden County Superior Court resulting from the wrongful death of an 11-year-old boy. The child fell some 180 feet in an unsecured, abandoned building in West Springfield in August, 2002. Judge Tina S. Page found that the trustees of the West Springfield Trade Center Condominium Trust were grossly negligent and awarded compensatory and punitive damages to the family of the deceased boy. This complex case involved an insurance company’s denial of a request to cover the claim made by the child’s family.
