Estates and Probate Associate Attorney - Springfield
JOB DESCRIPTION
Bacon Wilson, P.C. is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our areas of law relating to Estate Planning, Elder Law, Estate Tax Preparation, Probate and Trust Administration. The right candidate must have the desire to zealously represent our clients in our highly reputed and renowned Estate Planning and Probate practice group in our Springfield location
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Report directly to the Estates/Probate Department Chair. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Advise families on trust administration, guardianship for minors, and special needs planning.
- Draft estate and trust planning documentation such as wills, revocable/irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and advanced healthcare directives (living wills).
- Analyze client assets and structuring transfers to minimize estate and gift taxes.
- Guide executors and beneficiaries through the legal process of distributing assets after a death.
- Remain current and abreast of changes to all legislation as it relates to our area of law.
- Review and update existing plans to ensure they comply with changing state/federal laws.
- Inform Department Chair about salient developments in matters.
- Ensure client data obtained during interactions remain confidential and are stored securely.
- Accurately report time and hours spent on each matter.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Accredited Law degree.
- MA Bar admission is required. Admission to the CT Bar is preferred but not required.
- Exhibit familiarity with all subspecialties of their field and utilize knowledge to successfully conclude cases.
- Demonstrate outstanding research skills.
- Perceptive and meticulous, with a thorough understanding of human behavior.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Capacity to regulate and perform under stress.

COMPENSATION
- $80,000 – $95,000 annual salary (Salary is commensurate with experience)

Residential Real Estate Associate Attorney - Springfield
JOB DESCRIPTION
Bacon Wilson, P.C. is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our Residential Real Estate practice group in our Springfield office. The right candidate must have the desire to zealously represent our clients in our highly reputed and renowned Residential Real Estate team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Report directly to the Residential Real Estate Department Chair. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Handle residential real estate transactions from contract through closing
- Review and clear title issues
- Prepare, review, and explain closing documents
- Conduct residential real estate closings
- Coordinate effectively with lenders, brokers, buyers, and sellers
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Licensed and in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar
- Prior legal experience in residential real estate or a related practice area
- Ability to manage matters independently with appropriate supervision
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgment in document review
- Professional, client-facing communication skills
