Senior Accounting Clerk, Springfield

Assist with the following: Monitor and evaluate all day-to-day accounting activities. Assist with establishment of financial stability and reporting status by analysis, recommendations and developing systems for efficiencies and automation in all accounting related duties.

Key Responsibilities

Report directly to the controller and executive director. Working relationship with shareholders, attorneys, and staff throughout the firm, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing a deep understanding of the accounting department functions in order to analyze current functions and make recommendations for efficiencies and automation.
  • Understand the functions of billing, AR, AP, payroll, invoice preparation and processing, reporting, taxes, banking, financial reporting, budgeting, and assist with supervision of team.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (must have)

Required Skills

  • 3-5 years of accounting experience to include supervisory duties
  • Prior experience in a law firm or office setting preferred but not required
  • GAAP Standards
  • Knowledge of all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze large amounts of data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism and diplomacy
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Be able and willing to work as part of a team

Bankruptcy/Foreclosure Paralegal, Springfield (MA + CT experience)

Bacon Wilson, P.C. is seeking candidates for a full-time paralegal position in our Bankruptcy Practice Group.  Candidates should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a law firm.  Prior experience in Bankruptcy is required. Knowledge of bankruptcy software and electronic filing is a plus.  In addition, Candidate should have Foreclosure experience in MA and/or CT with electronic filing being a plus. The duties of this position include file and time management, preparation of firm and court documents, and significant contact with clients and courts.

Residential Real Estate Paralegal, Springfield

Bacon Wilson, P.C. is presently seeking candidates for a full-time paralegal position in the Real Estate Practice Group. Prior legal experience handling all aspects of residential real estate closings is required. A successful candidate must have the ability to independently manage files in a deadline-oriented atmosphere and to work easily with all levels of attorneys and staff.

Estate Planning Attorney/Amherst

Bacon Wilson, P.C. is seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney with 3 to 5 years’ experience in one or more of the following; Estate Planning, Elder Law, Estate Tax Preparation and/or Probate Administration. Excellent writing skills and MA Bar required.
