David A. Lavenburg

  • Shareholder, 01/01/2024

"Since 1991, I have litigated all over Massachusetts and Connecticut for businesses and everyday people. Regardless of the client or the size of the case, my approach is always the same. I listen to my clients to understand their objectives and work with them to provide aggressive, strategic, and cost-effective representation every step of the way to settlement or trial and beyond.”

David chairs the Creditor’s Rights, Collections, and Bankruptcy Practice Group at Bacon Wilson. He represents businesses, banks, credit unions, and debt purchasers in loan recovery and collection matters. When individuals and businesses are unable to timely pay their debts, David can also assist you in loan workouts, restructures, debt repayments, and bankruptcy. As a litigator for over thirty-two years, David also supports all of the other practice groups at Bacon Wilson. In probate, trust, and estate matters, he supports the litigation needs of that group in cases involving will contests, breaches of fiduciary duty, lack of capacity, and undue influence claims. In commercial and corporate matters, David represents the firm’s client in partnership disputes, commercial litigation, general business litigation, and commercial lease disputes. David is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts and Connecticut. He appears regularly in these trial courts and has argued in the Connecticut Supreme Court and Massachusetts’ Appellate Courts.
