Local Attorney Presents at National Seminars

Springfield, MA – The Springfield-based regional law firm of Bacon & Wilson, P.C. is pleased to announce that partner, Hyman G. Darling, recently presented programs at two national seminars. He spoke about practice development and practice management issues at the Special Needs Alliance conference in Clearwater, Florida to a select group of approximately one hundred lawyers who have significant expertise in Special Needs Trusts and serve persons with disabilities. Membership and attendance at this event is by invitation only.

The second presentation was for the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys in Memphis, Tennessee. Attorney Darling’s presentation dealt with issues regarding the transition of an attorney’s practice and creating value within the office to provide tangible assets for sale upon the attorney’s death, disability or retirement. The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys is an organization of attorneys who concentrate in elder law and related techniques to assist the elderly with estate planning and preservation of assets.

Attorney Darling is chairman of the Estate Planning and Elder Law Departments, and he is recognized as the area’s preeminent estate planner. His areas of expertise include all areas of estate planning, probate and elder law. Darling is a past president of the Hampden County Bar Association, he teaches law at Bay Path College and is an adjunct professor at Western New England College School of Law – LLM program, teaching Elder Law. He is a frequent lecturer on various estate planning and elder law topics at both the local and national levels. Darling earned his J.D. from Western New England College School of Law and his A.B. from Boston University. He lives in Longmeadow.
